Peter was born in Stockholm, Sweden on 4 June 1971. Peter nació en Estocolmo, Suecia, el 4 de junio de 1971. He is an experienced singer and stage performer in his native Sweden. Él es un experimentado cantante y artista etapa de su natural Suecia.

Peter made his professional debut in a Swedish production of "The Sound Of Music" at the age of ten. He played Kurt Von Trapp. Jugó Kurt Von Trapp. Other appearances included "West Side Story" (as Tony), "The Jungle Book" (as Gray), "Here And Now" (as Ben), "Cavalry Maiden" (as Astahof), "La Belle Epoque" (as Morgan) and "Mio My Mio" (as Lollo).

Peter played the lead role in a national tour of "Musical Express".

Peter became well known in the Stockholm production of "Fame" as Nick Piazza. He was nominated for a Swedish Golden Mask Award for Best Actor in a Musical for this role. He also played the Teen Angel in the Swedish production of "Grease" in 1991/1992. A CD was released of this production.

 

Peter has had a brief foray into films when he voiced the lead role in the Swedish language version of the smash animated hit - Aladdin. He continued this arrangement in the film's sequel as well as the Aladdin TV series. Él continuó este arreglo en la secuela de la película así como la serie de televisión de Aladdin.

In the early nineties, Peter launched a recording career. He released two singles on DoReMe Records both in English.  One of these, "This Time" was written by Peter and his brother Mikael (pictured with Peter).  Peter won the Baltic Song Contest in 1992 with "This Time". 

Peter recorded about ten songs in English for an album which was sadly never released.  Instead, he signed with Sony Records and recorded a duet with Towe Jaarnek, "More Than A Game", which was the official song for the 1992 European Football Championship. Peter and Towe performed the song live at the opening ceremony in front of 2 billion people around the world.

Peter JöbackPeter and Mikael wrote Peter's debut self-titled album which was released on Sony Records in Sweden in 1993. The album received airplay on Swedish radio but unfortunately was not a success. 

For a short time Peter was a member of the group Stage Four along with Lisa Nilsson, Lizette Pålsson and Andreas Lundstedt. The group performed on TV and at the 125th anniversary celebrations of Dagens Nyheter - a major Swedish newspaper.

Peter's big break came in 1995 with his casting as Robert in the musical "Kristina Från Duvemåla" by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. A triple CD was released in 1996 and has enjoyed high sales. Peter's single from "Kristina Från Duvemåla", "Guldet Blev Till Sand" was a huge success. Peter's single de "Kristina Från Duvemåla", It entered the Svensktoppen chart at number 1 and stayed at the top for a record 36 weeks.

The first single from the album, "En Sång Om Oss" was released in November 1997 with the album "Personliga Val" following in December. The album has sold over 100,000 copies and has been certified platinum. It reached number two on the Swedish charts. A second single from the album, "Vem Ser Ett Barn", was released in May 1998.

Peter appeared in his own TV special on 27 December 1997 called "I Musikalernas Värld". He sang and danced his way through songs from the album along with other songs from "Chess", "Miss Saigon", "Gypsy", "Smokey Joe's Café", "City Of Angels", "Grease" and "West Side Story. Guests included Tommy Körberg and Mia-Anne Dionisio (Peter's co-star in "Miss Saigon"). Peter also interviewed Björn Ulvaeus about "Kristina Från Duvemåla".

On September 7, 1998, Peter opened his own show in the theater Börsen restaurant in Stockholm. The show lasted 3 months and provided examples of Peter as a singer and dancer of great talent.

1999 was another successful year. Peter started the year, performing three concerts in Finlandia.Hizo their debut in the film "Give regnbågen slut" (Where the rainbow ends). Peter played a character known as "The Star", and had the chance to sing a couple of numbers. Peter also returned to "Kristina från Duvemåla" for Easter and one week in June, when the music finally ended.

Peter keeps his career wind in its sails and 2000 added a few more notches to his belt. He began the year by providing the voice for the character in the Swedish version of the hit movie "Stuart Little." In July, the new music "The Witches of Eastwick" opened in the West End Peter plays the role of Michael, the son of one of Bruges. Peter sang two songs and was the principal dancer in the Showstopper "Dance With The Devil."

Peter JöbackIn September 2000, Peter released his album "Only When I Breathe," which reached # 1 and generated three singles. Peter co-wrote three songs on the album. The album received a limited release in Europe, but so far has not been placed elsewhere around the world.

Peter continued his role in "The Witches of Eastwick" in 2001.En March 2002, Peter released his second pop album in English "I Feel Good And I'm Worth It." Debuted at number 2 on the Swedish album charts. Peter describes it as a more personal album. He wrote or co-wrote several tracks and even plays the piano on one track. There were two singles taken from the album - "sinner" and "She's Like A Butterfly."

Peter JöbackPeter appeared in the ABBA tribute in August 2002, along with other artists from Sweden, and the legendary Dionne Warwick. Also about the same time, become the voice of Stuart Little in the animated film "Stuart Little 2." Also ended in a high note the launch of Peter's Christmas album "Jag kommer igen until July (I'm back home for Christmas) The album was platinum.

The big announcement in 2003 was that Peter was going to replace the protagonist in the production of Cabaret. The test with the cast and appeared in performances with some very positive public reaction.

Peter released two albums in 2004, much to the delight of his fans. The album was acclaimed by critics and fans. It was number 1 in Sweden and gold disc.

A few weeks before lansamiento album, Peter was when the news came as gay on Swedish television in an interview with the popular host Kristian Luuk. The reactions to this revelation was generally very positive and supportive. His current partner is Oscar Nilsson.

Peter Jöback has established itself as one of the most prolific and respected Swedish star - an extraordinary artist with a great voice. The platinum selling artist combines with extensive performances on stage and television in Scandinavia and London's West End, Peter Jöback is also a name of great international prestige. When Peter Jöback your resume on the album "Flera Sidor av samma man" in 2006 led to the best-selling album of the year (2006) in Sweden.

On September 19, 2007 Peter released his ninth album "People som du och jag." He has continued his great work with Andreas Mattsson (or paddles) and Niclas Frisk (Atomic Swing ao). Together they have written all the songs on the album. The album has only sold one day after the gold. During the fall will be Peter for his "Elva Elva veckor Stader" toured Sweden, Norway and Finland.
